As former teachers and higher education faculty, we were trained by the National Urban Alliance
for Effective Education and National School Reform Faculty (NSRF). We have developed
Masters Degree programs for teachers in challenged districts in New York City, and so
we understand the unique difficulties faced by districts in peril. As a result, we
provide timely professional development and coaching for schools seeking strategies
to increase cultural capacity, promote social awareness, and improve outcomes for students
from all kinds of socio-economic situations.
We have a four-pronged approach to create success.
First, we listen, observe and collect informed and impartial data. As a data-driven
helping partner, we provide an indepth analysis that results in higher levels of honest
communication with staff that engages, motivates, and provides a willing mind and helping
heart.
Second, we work with schools through a staged, process-driven model. We understand that
change is difficult and requires intrinsic motivation and willing participation for all
parties, because teachers and staff require the same depth of caring and capacity
building that students need. Teaching is a helping profession and many teachers are
burdened by compassion fatigue. Therefore, we work on a model that emphasizes community
building and organizational development.
Third, we work through a customized, standards-driven model that utilizes effective
methods-based products. One size does not fit all. We evaluate what you have in place
and tailor the delivery for your specific circumstances, mission, and needed outcomes.
